DESCRIPTION
In 1981 Patek Philippe unveiled the mid-size reference 3800 to expand the reach of the Nautilus collection. With a reduced diameter of 37.5mm (down from 42mm), it aimed to cater to a broader and younger audience.
The reference 3800 offered an extensive selection of dials, with over twenty options: dark blue dial with baton markers, white dial with baton markers, charcoal grey dial with Arabic numerals, black dial with applied Roman numerals… These distinct options added to the versatility and personalization possibilities of the watch.
The present example features a first series dark blue dial with black date window. It is accompanied by its original box and the Extract from the Archives pointing the date of sale on the 26th of July 1988.
