Reference 5980/1A-001 is Patek Philippe’s original Nautilus Chronograph introduced in 2006, coinciding with the brand’s 30th anniversary of its most iconic sports watch.
Featuring a sporty 40.5 mm stainless steel case and matching hand finished bracelet, it quickly became a statement piece in many collections.
Years have passed since and the reference has gathered an even more passionate following among collectors and watch enthusiast. This thanks to its timeless design, the well integrated chronograph layout, and its discontinuation in 2014.
This 2007 example still features the old Geneva seal, making it a rarity as in Spring of 2009 Patek Philippe introduced the PP seal.
